Recap: 2 Meter Radio Practice 6/21/2014

June 22nd, 2014

Weather: Started out cloudy and cold for the first day of Summer, but then the Sun came out.

Turnout: There were 18 of us.

Net Control: Joe KK6JJK and Jeff KC9DPP

What we did: We talked on our radios, changed frequencies, experienced what tone and PL code does, helped others with their radios and exchanged radio related information.

Thanks to everyone for joining me.

Next Practice June: 21st, 2014

June 18th, 2014

This is a reminder that we are meetingSaturday, June 21st at Spreckels Lake for another radio practice.  If you can, please join me for: talking on our radios, asking questions, answering questions and learning more about our radios.

The next month, on July 19th, 2014, we will celebrate the Fourth Anniversary of the creation of The 2 Meter Critical Mass Amateur Radio Practice.  Since then we have had almost ninety (90) amateur radio operators come to one (or more) of our radio practices.  Very cool, I think!

Many thanks to those of you who came out that first day: WB6SPX, KI6YRE, KI6BQP, KI6RGY, AF6RT, KG6EZX, NF1P, KG6RQS, KG6FAN, W9OQ,/AA6PP, KG6CEL, KB6KM, KI6RGY,KI6GRX ,KJ6ERZ, KJ6JPM, KI6NYQ, NP2LW, KJ6IVE, KI6JXN, KI6IMA, KG6VOM. You were the pioneers of 2 Meter Critical Mass.

So, we need to do something special at that practice.  Send me your suggestions, or bring them to the June practice this Saturday.

Sincere thanks to all of you for helping me learn more about my radio and amateur radio communications.
