2 Meter Radio Practice Friends,

Pat and I are back from our 4600 mile drive across America, following the historic Lincoln Highway from Lincoln Park in San Francisco to Times Square in New York City.  It was a blast but we are glad to be back in San Francisco.

I am looking forward to our radio practice this Saturday.

While we will do some talking on our 2 Meter HTs,  answer questions and help each other, we will also get a chance to participate in an HF (high frequency) radio event.  At the lake there will be three HF radios set up for us to get a chance to participate in the “US Islands One-Day Getaway” ham radio event.

The HF radios will be set up and operating by 1000 hrs, so get there a little early, 0930 hrs, for checking in and orientation.

My trustee six-year old Yaesu FT60R was accidedntaly left behind in Massachusetts and my cousin is mailing it to me.  That leaves me with a very nice Icom IC-V80 that I will need help programing.

I hope to see you there.

Regards,

Peter McElmury AA6SF
